TRADITIONS
The beginnings
Blacksmith traditions were born in our family as early as eight generations ago. Successive generations of blacksmiths gathered experience and gained the respect due to their solicitous work. The Butrykowski family was interested at the beginning with functional trades but over time their interests evolved into artistic blacksmithing and metalwork.
Heritage
We inherited from our ancestors many items – notebooks, books or the above mentioned blacksmith tools. It is a testimony of the development of crafts and our cultural heritage, which to this day we use in the forge. Our grandparents’ books are a source of knowledge and inspiration for us.
Revival of the company
In 1993, Bogusława and Jan Butrykowski made the re-open of the family business. Thanks to their perseverance and hard work, they began to re-create the history of “Effect-Metal”. The most important criterion for them was high quality of services. In order to be faithful to the tradition and the idea of true craftsmanship, they built the brand reputation on reliability and a thorough knowledge.
Continuation of work
In 2003, Marcin and Christopher went with his parents to show their first demonstrations of forging. Their father saw their talent and encouraged them to continue the family tradition. From that moment, they began to learn from their father and gain professional cuts, and blacksmithing has become their greatest passion in life.
Development
Each year brought a faster development of the company. With the knowledge accumulated over generations, the experience of parents and ambitions of the youngest generation, Effect-Metal made an expansion on an unprecedented scale. The strength of our company has become a combination of tradition with innovative solutions. However, we did not rest on our laurels. We continue to strive for perfection.
Present day
We started building a new studio in order to fully implement the ideas and dreams of our customers. Thanks to it we can create larger, more monumental projects and pass on a long tradition, knowledge and passion.
We want to encourage others to share our passion for the art of blacksmithing. We are expanding the studio to make it not only a place where we design and manufacture our products, but also a museum and an education centre for young students of artistic blacksmithing.

One of our main priorities is the development of activities on foreign markets. The reputation and the trust gained among customers in Poland become for us the foundation to build recognition in Europe and beyond it.
